Windy USA is proud to be working with Volvo providing escort/chase boats for the Manhattan Leg of the 2006 “Volvo Ocean Race”.

John Benchimol of Harborside Marina was the Captain on the Windy 40 Bora shown here, escorting the current lead vessel ABN AMRO ONE into the harbor in New York City early Tuesday morning.

The 40 Bora will be berthed at the North Cove Yacht Harbor in lower Manhattan until Thursday afternoon when the 7 th leg begins. Several festival type activities have been planned which will take place around the World Financial Center Plaza and Promenade that surrounds the Yacht Harbor .
